Have you ever arrived to the airport and felt like you didn’t pack enough? Or sat on a plane and regretted not bringing some form of entertainment? What about feeling completely lost once you’ve reached your final destination? We, here at MissTravel have 3 helpful tips for your next adventure that will make your trip easy, safe, and enjoyable.
Packing for men is simple. But allow me to make things simpler. If you are going out of town for only a few days, I highly recommend using the rule of 2, 4, and 1 when you pack. Bring 2 solid colored button downs, a couple jeans, and 2 of your best looking shoes. Then, pack 4 pairs of underwear, socks and t-shirts. Lastly, bring a suit jacket, dress shoes, flip flops and a hat. You now have something to wear for every occasion.
You may be wondering how to fit this all into one bag? Roll your t-shirts, pants, underwear, and dress shirts, instead of folding them flat in your carry-on bag. This will give you maximum packing space, as well as, minimize the wrinkling of your clothes. Put your socks inside your shoes and lay your flip flops flat. You are now ready to go.
Wifi on planes, buses, and rest stops can be unreliable. If you are someone that likes to watch TV or play video games, lack of wifi can be a problem. Alleviate this potential stress pre-download TV shows or movies and games that you can play offline.
Enjoy shows like Breaking Bad, Rick and Morty, and True Detective on your down time. The Apple store & Android market offer a wide selection of television shows, movies, and games. But how do you know if the movie or game you downloaded will work without service? Easy, in your device settings you have the ability to turn off your wifi and your data. Once you have done so, you can now test it.
Get to know the locals. Never be afraid to ask for directions. You never know, you may run into someone who will end up being your tour guide throughout your trip.
Here are a few simple tips to guide you when talking to someone you don’t know. Just remember to have eye contact, direct body language, and talk with a smile. When talking to women, always remember confidence is key.
It is already hard enough to pack, let alone fitting everything you want to bring into one bag. If only there was a way to have a bag like Mary Poppins, and have everything plus the kitchen sink magically come out of it.
Until there is a way for that to happen, I have found cubing, a system putting small bags in a big bag, to be quite useful. Ebags, which usually comes in a pack of 3, are great to use to execute this system. Using the smaller bag for your lingerie, socks and tank tops and the other 2 bigger bags for dress, blouses, jeans, and accessories, you can save time packing and have even more room for your shoes.
Why go through the trouble of carrying around books and magazines? With technology, you can just carry around your reading material on a tablet or an Ipad. Everyone has different preferences as to what type of device to have. I personally recommend the Kindle, as it is compact and easy to read off of.
Once you have picked the device you want to use, make sure that you have enough reading material for a week. You never know what could happen from the moment you travel to when you are scheduled to return home.
Always remember to travel with awareness and precaution. Women need to take extra precaution on travel. Be aware of your surroundings. Travel light when you are exploring a new city and keep your belongings close.
Remember traveling should be fun.
