Ever since Woodstock, music festivals have been a notorious place for hook ups and general debauchery. But recently, music festivals have become a hot spot for couples as celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Nina Dobrev, Fergie, and Kate Bosworth put on major public displays of affection at Coachella with their beaus. With SXSW wrapping up a few days ago and weekend #2 of Ultra, coming up, we thought it’d be the perfect time to analyze the best music festivals for a destination date. After all there are just as many people who would jump at the chance to accompany someone to the likes of Coachella or EDC as there are those who have tickets but don’t want to go it alone. Here’s our list of the top ten best fests for a first date.

1. Coachella (Indio, CA)

Peace and love, man. The best dates are low key, mellow and no-pressure. Coachella provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy each other’s company in a casual environment.

2. South By Southwest  (Austin, TX)

SXSW is one of the coolest festivals that has a little something for everyone. It’s quickly growing in popularity and has literally something for everyone: movies, music and games.

3. Lollapalooza (Chicago, IL)

4. Warped Tour (Traveling)

These Rock festivals are for serious fans, and nothing bonds more cohesively than a shared love of music. And nothing is probably worse than attending a concert with someone who hates your favorite band.

5. Bonnaroo (Manchester, TN)

6. Austin City Limits (Austin, TX)

7. Summerfest (Milwaukee, WI)

These iconic summer festivals embody the heart soul of summer, and that carefree feeling of Summer love.. or at least hook ups.

8.  iHeartRadio Music Fest (Las Vegas, NV)

Sin City is a great host to this pop music festival. Tons of events during the week to festival go-ers and always a name-brand line up which means lots of single options… maybe you should go it alone?

9. Ultra (Miami, FL)

10. Electric Daisy Carnival (Traveling)

Rave music, drugs, alcohol and slutty costumes make for a great first date, right? According to our members, EDC in Las Vegas is a great destination date…. but we’re not so sure.

What do you think is the best fest for a first date?

Would you go to a festival on a destination date?

your article is lacking…lol im sorry if this comes off as destructive criticism but im trying to be constructive. You are severely misinformed. “Rave Music” is actually Electronic music with many sub genres ie House, Dubstep, Trance, Hardstyle, etc. You label it as rave music but you most likely will unknowingly listen to it at some point today haha. Rave music, drugs , alcohol and slutty costumes…..the way you said that makes it sound horrible. Have you ever been to EDC? Have you ever experienced peace and love from thousands of strangers? Its not all about drugs and alcohol. Yea they are there and yea some people enjoy these things but i personally know many ravers thats never even smoked a joint or drank alcohol. Do not stereotype, judge and label when writing your article it really trashes it. Just for the record all the fests listed have “rave music, drugs, alcohol, and slutty costumes”. This is way to much to try to explain to you. Its a deep culturally rich environment filled with love and happiness. What better place for a date? I would have mentioned the fact that you cant really get to know a person by talking at a festival LOL. Anyway do not write articles with ignorance is my point. You can have perfect grammar, format, etc but if its based on ignorant opinions its really meaningless to the majority of people
