A weekend in Vegas seems to be the go-to first travel date for MissTravel members. It’s fun, casual, and encourages travel companions to relax and have a good time. Many people forget that besides the strip, there is also the locale to enjoy. So what would the perfect travel date weekend in Vegas look like? We’ll tell you where you should stay, play and eat.

 Hotels
When in Vegas, the ideal place for a good night’s sleep requires top-notch, strip view accommodations in a central location—nothing kills a relaxing weekend like blistered feet. Consider one of these hotels for your weekend love nest…
Cosmopolitan
Encore
Wynn
TheHOTEL
Aria
Venetian

Bars
Vegas has no shortage on bars or access to alcohol. In fact, it is one of the few cities in the U.S. which lack open container laws. Walking around with your yard or glass of wine in the streets sure can be fun, but drinking with a view is so much better.
Mandarin Bar
mIX Lounge (Mandalay Bay)
Firefly
Ghost Bar (Palms)
Voodoo (Rio)

Activities
A few days on the strip can be exhausting…take the evening off and enjoy a helicopter tour of to the Grand Canyon, or take a sunset gondola cruise on local Lake Las Vegas. Feeling adventurous? Take a leap of faith with your travel buddy and jump off the stratosphere together. If you don’t have the stomach for that, the newly added Zip line at Fremont Street is sure to add even more butterflies in your tummy. Steal a first kiss in front of the Bellagio Fountains at dusk and share a frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity 3 at Caesar’s Palace.
Lake Las Vegas Gondolas
Helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon or the Strip at Night
Hot air balloon rides
Gambling
Zip lining at Fremont Street
Bungee jumping at Stratosphere
Fountains of Bellagio Water and Music Show

Looking to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the strip? Why not enjoy a sexy show such as La Reve at Wynn or Cirque De Soleil’s Zumanity.

Dining
Las Vegas is known as not only the entertainment capital of the world, but also for the impressive selection of cuisine one can find nestled within each of the hotels:
Picasso (Bellagio)
Lotus of Siam
Le Cirque
STK (Cosmopolitan)
Verandah (Four Seasons)
Sage (Aria)
Botero (Encore)

Las Vegas has always been one of my favorite places to go, especially if you are spontanious and looking for just a couple of days get away. The best show I have ever seen there was “O” at the Belligeo !!! I have stayed there a couple of times and it is truly the best !! Epecially if your room is on the fountain side !! The pool area is awesome. On my last trip there in 2006 I went to the pool area and got a lovely cabanna and stayed by the pool all day. Funny when I got back to my room I noticed they charged me twice for the cabanna. I went downstairs and told the manager about it, as I ws talking with him I mentioned I would probably be going home the next day, (I was traveling alone), he upgraded my room to a penthouse if I wanted to stay a few more days!! Of course I took him up on it, and it was the most beautiful room!! I stayed a few more days, trying to get my two sons to join me, but they were busy with thier own things. I watched from afar the emblodding of one of the big hotels, which was incredible. Had lunch at the chiness resurant, which to my suprise I was sitting two seats down from Barbara Striesan, then flew back home to Houston. It’s was a great trip, but would have been better with some company.

I love Las Vegas.. I have been 4 times .. An adult Disney Land, great hotels, entertainment, shows and restaurants,
LV has changed since my first visit, some 10 years ago, the gambling is still important to the economy, but the newer hotels are much more shopping experiences, than gaming, with great Restaurant and nightclubs and bars.
For a great location just opposite MGM the Hooters Hotel is good value….I stayed there in 2009 for New Year Eve.. brilliant experience of LV on NYE..
I will be back again, just need a nice young lady, over the age of 21 ….Enquiries welcome.. ha ha
ENJOY LAS VEGAS one of the 100 things to see before you die.

Believe it or not, you can stay on the strip in several maeordte level hotels under $100 a night Sunday through Thursday if you shop around on line. I suggest, if you are looking for one that you consider Bills Gambling’ Hall and Saloon. The rooms are reasonably priced and are newly furbished. If you check around you can find whatever you want in Vegas as far as a hotel goes. If you are flexible in your time and avoid weekends, certain holidays, and convention dates you can stay in MGM or NY NY type hotel well under $100 a night. If you increase your price to $150 you can stay in some really nice rooms, and even find Suites available at that price. If you decide to stay in a cheaper hotel the Strip has rooms from $35 up. Just off the strip are Hotels like the Station Group Hotels and Orleans. Then there is Freemont where the older but nice hotels in Traditional Vegas are.

I HAVE BEEN TO VEGAS ENOUGH TO SAY I DON’T WANT TO GO FOR AWHILE ANYTIME SOON. IT BECOMES PRETTY RAUNCHY WHEN YOU ARE WALKING THE STRIP WITH A NICE (MISSTRAVEL DATE ) AND FROM NO WHERE SOME GUYS ARE PULLING YOUR DATE’S HAND TO GET A STRIPPER FOR THE NIGHT OR GO TO PORN SPOT RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AS IF YOU DON’T EVEN EXIST. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A GUY FROM MISSTRAVEL, THAT WAS EITHER REALLY INTO ME OR HE WAS NOT ENTHUSIASTIC WITH THE RAUNCHY APPROACH THESE GUYS CHOSE TO MARKET THEIR NIGHT CAPS.

Las Vegas is a great location for partying… If you haven’t heard, Hakkasan Nightclub is opening. It is the biggest nightclub inside the MGM GRAND. Hakkasan also has a restaurant. Check it out!
