A little bit about myself:
I'm 34 years old. Divorced times two. I have a 14 year old daughter and identical toddler twin boys. Recovering alcoholic. I work full time as an EMT in the wonderful metropolis of Danville. I'm a transplant to this region. I was born and lived the majority of my life in Richmond, Virginia. Why did I leave? Well, I still really can't justify that one with an answer that satisfies me. Prior to becoming an EMT, I worked for 7 years as a paralegal.
Dislikes? (1) Liars. Please don't try to play me. I will see right through you. (2) Junkies. I deal with those at work, don't want to deal with them in my personal life. (3) Lack of sense of humor. I like to laugh and I'd like for you to be able to laugh along with me. (4) A temper. I don't do the domestic violence thing. Take that elsewhere. It's really not cool. (5) Unemployment. I'm not saying I'm after your wallet, but I just want to know that you're not after mine either, because I'm telling you now, there isn't much there. Be self supportive. (6) Vanity. Enough said. (7) Being too clingy. I want to spend time with my kids. I like to spend time with myself. I will also make sure to spend time with you. Don't be offended by this. (8) Cheaters. If you don't want to be with me, be a man and end it. Don't play games.
Likes? (1) Laughter. I love to laugh and if you can make me laugh, you get bonus points immediately. (2) Independence. I am proud that I am able to do for myself and my children. Please do not consider it an insult when I seem headstrong. (3) Music. Pretty much everything except bluegrass and rap. (4) Travel, camping, etc. (5) Relaxing. Obviously, as a single mom, I don't get to go out that much. You must be okay with hanging out at home, enjoying a home cooked meal, watching a movie that may be interrupted by a cry every now and again and just cuddling up with me on the sofa. (6) Dinner and a movie. See previous. (7) Conversation. If we can't talk, we can't connect. It can be anything. But silence is a kill zone.
While I can dress up for an evening out on the town, I more like the jeans and tees kind of girl. I'm also an open book, so anything else that you'd like to learn about me...the only way to gain answers is to ask the questions!
