A little bit about myself:
I am easy-going, kind, and caring and enjoy people who are that way too. I have been described as someone who «shines», and though I have had many struggles, I continue to strive to do just that.
I am passionate about my children and they are what I am most proud of in mylife. I am also passionate about being a good friend, what is just, and striving to make a difference.
I have traveled around the world and have visited 17 different countries thus far. In those countries, I have sought out unique experiences matched by few. A few of my favorite memories are: when a cab driver in Vietnam who only knew me for 30 minutes went and got me a Birthday card and left it for me at my hotel, upon attempting to ask (well, signaling because of the language barrier) for shampoo from a Japanese woman while bathing at a Japanese bath house the woman came and just started shampooing my hair as I sat buck-naked under the tiny shower-head, trying desperately to get to my (leaving) ship in Morocco in a cab full of men who had no clue what I was talking about when I said «ship» or «docks» or «boat», sitting in the rink (as the only woman or American there) of a cock-fight in Manilla,…
Why I want to travel:
I would love to explore Europe more! I've made it to Paris, London, Istanbul, and Edinburgh, so there are sooo many places left to explore. I also would love to re-visit Vietnam and re-connect with some old friends in Australia! Who are we kidding! I want to go anywhere and everywhere!!! My travel partner should be someone who is willing to venture down the non-traditional «tourist road» some of the time! And should be somewhat relaxed, enjoying where we are more than keeping on a strict schedule.
--note-- I have sole custody of my 2 children (14,7) so my ability to travel is somewhat limited. I could easily travel when my ex (he lives out of state) has my children which is one weekend every other month, 3 weeks in the summer, and 2-3 weeks around holidays. I could also travel on most weekends after making arrangements and perhaps occassionally during the week.-- Also, I have applied for a new passport :)
