A little bit about myself:
I'd like to describe myself as simple and sane, but you may eventually meet my friends and find out I was lying. So here's the truth: While I don't see myself as just an average guy, I'm very modest, with a «quiet confidence» about myself. I know what I have to offer, and I'm OK with not being everything to everyone. I'm fun, kind, and respectful. My IQ is a little higher than average, but I'm not a nerd, and I very seldom use it as a weapon. :) I'm passionate about music, history, and art. I'm slightly demanding of myself, almost a perfectionist, but I can live with mistakes. I can be very funny and witty, and I love to laugh. I'm also a hopeless romantic.
I also love to travel when my schedule lets me. I set out across country when I was 16, in an old pickup truck, and I've had the bug since then. I like to visit historical sites and museums. I love hiking and backpacking, and wilderness camping. I also like fine dining and fine wine, and I like to search out local restaurants, off the beaten path. I love the mountains, both summer and winter. I'm a little better than average skier. I like the beach, but it's not my favorite get-a-way. I only recently acquired a passport, and I can't wait to explore Europe and Asia.
Why I want to travel:
I'm looking for a fun-loving travel partner that shares some of my tastes. Someone who's classy, but not afraid to get her hands dirty. Funny and witty are a must, as well as a love of the outdoors, music, and the arts. Someone who can hold an intelligent conversation over a glass of wine, then have a sno-ball fight when you step outside. That would be fun… :)
