A little bit about myself:
I'm a native Californian getting my PhD in Renaissance drama in Amherst, Massachusetts. I'm a classically trained pianist, but I've played in rock bands since I was 20. I'm deeply invested in art, new experiences, and avoiding anything practical. Traveling is incredibly important to me, so much so that I decided to go into academia so that I would be able to research and teach anywhere in the world (and take 3 month vacations in the summer). I am a hedonist with a purpose. I am a very easygoing traveler and pretty easy to please. I like adventure, enjoy history, and nightlife. That pretty much sums up what I'm looking for in my travels.
Why I want to travel:
I'm looking for someone who is also an easygoing traveler, who is gentlemanly, interested in sharing ideas, and thoughtful. I don't really care about shared interests, but I would hope that what I do doesn't strike you as foolish or boring. I enjoy learning from other people, so I am usually excited by men who lead very different lives than I do.
