A little bit about myself:
I can never find the right box to put myself in!*oh rats*...um, does this box come in a different color or size? No...Oh ok gracias! That was my (possibly futile) attempt at humor. I really am funny, HONEST! I just find it slightly difficult to find a way to write humorously without sounding...well...not funny. I grew up in Los Angeles and I've moved around SoCal quite a bit. Maybe it's because of my «army brat» roots, but I actually enjoy living out of a suitcase and traveling. I've lead this almost gypsy-esque lifestyle for most of my adult years. Of course a settled life would be ideal, but I don't feel as though I've seen enough of the world to decide where I want to lay my hat. Other than dry humor and being a gypsy sympathizer/impersonator, I consider myself a foodie. I will eat anything and try everything at least once. I'm a swim coach at Camp Hollywoodland in LA during the summers. I love reading, cooking, dogs, horses, art...speaking of art, I currently study fashion and interior design at SCAD Atlanta. I love fashion. I breathe it. I wake up and read fashion magazines/articles (on commercial breaks while I watch CNN usually) and I fall asleep reading W magazine. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lakers (hey, I'm an LA girl), and the SD Chargers. I can hold my own in a sports oriented conversation, and I am very proud of that! On my iPhone you would see Frank Sinatra, Otis Redding, Eartha Kit, Patsy Cline, Nickleback, 3 Doors Down, Maroon 5, Train, Kanye West (808's and Heartbreaks), and a mash up of newer Country/pop/rap artists. Well, that's me in a nutshell...or a Swavorski Crystal encrusted, Tiffany blue, velvet lined box.
Why I want to travel:
I am a really laid back person, and I find that I mesh well with the more organized portion of our species. I would love to travel with someone that knows what they want to do, but is not opposed to being spontaneous and going off the grid for a while. Life is for the living and I think we should enjoy every day of it. People that are set in their ways and don't like or accept change, are not the kind of people I get along with. I've never been the type to need to be introduced to everyone in the room, I can stand on my own and work a room by myself but it's always nice to have someone there that is willing to look out for you.
