I figured out that I was traveling last year for five months out of the year, and still maintaining my full-time career. Can you believe it? Typically, I prefer city over country, history/culture over nature. Oh, and did I mention that I love the beach and pool? Even in the city, I always try to make time for pool time, — splashing, sleeping, eating, drinking, reading. I'm a fairly quiet person, a bit shy, but a lot of fun. Adventurous, too. I've been to places most Americans have not, — Cuba and North Korea, for example. Always up for trying new things, places, foods, etc. Not into clubbing, though.
Right now I'm living in Udon Thani, Thailand, where I bought a business.
I'm a perpetually happy person, nearly always a smile on my face. My friends describe me as kind, gentle, loyal, insatiably curious. Past girlfriends AND THEIR PARENTS (lol!!) often describe me as the best boyfriend they ever had. I don't smoke at all, no drugs, and don't drink to excess, — don't like the feeling of being drunk. Parts of my life tend to go in phases. Right now I'm in a Cosmopolitan phase, and I admit that I do prefer them slightly sweet and with a squeeze of a fresh orange. They have to be ice cold, too. I seem to read in phases, too, currently biographies. Recently completed comprehensive biographies of Lawrence of Arabia and the Shah of Iran. My current book was written by the only person to escape from the main Bangkok prison, just started it yesterday.
Why I want to travel:
What am I looking for? For now, a girlfriend for travel, of course in pretty packaging. While we’re together you’ll be the focus of my attention, as I will be of yours. You should be relaxed, happy, easy going. To the world, it will appear as though we’ve known each other for a long time.
Overall, someone with whom I’m comfortable, who gets into playing arm candy from time to time (but not always), whether at a party, long weekend in the Caribbean, or a week in India. After all, what guy doesn't want a PYT on his arm? You’re educated and can carry on an intelligent and interesting conversation. You read. Strikingly attractive, but appropriately so. You turn heads, but never raise eyebrows. You'll catch my eye across a crowded room, and we'll both know instantly that it's time to go. You're as comfortable leading as you are following.
I’m not looking for a regular, calendar-based arrangement, but rather from time to time, as the occasion arises and we're both available. An occasional friend with benefits. Oh, and you’ll be OK with lying about how we met!!!
And if we both want, perhaps more. I don't put limits on my life, and this is no exception.

How do I travel? While I have no absolute rules, I tend to travel in the front of the plane, particularly on longer flights. (Do they still have seats in the back on those 16 hour flights between JFK and Hong Kong?) I also tend to stay in suites in nice hotels. Destinations? As I said above, I favor cities over countryside, interesting places over pleasant scenery, but am always open and flexible.
What’s in it for me? Well, of course, a girlfriend for travel. Apart from the obvious,… Fun and interesting places are always better with the right companion, someone with whom to share the experience.
