A little bit about myself:
This won't jump right out at you, I'm sure, but I'm an average guy. Not only in terms of my physical traits, but my personality and temperament as well. I'm bright, with a creative streak. I have what I'd classify as a somewhat subversive sense of humor. I like the idea that I'm a traveler as opposed to a tourist. Years ago, I made the concerted effort to get out and see the world whenever the opportunity presented itself, and I continue to be ready to head on out to both old and new destinations. At this time in my life, most of my family and friends have business or family obligations that restrict their ability to travel with me when I'm ready to go, and that lead me to open up this profile.
Why I want to travel:
I'm seeking a travel partner who exhibits openmindedness. I'm looking for someone who is willing to find out about the unique qualities each of us has, and who isn't quick to come up with rash judgments. An adventurous soul. Kindness. The ability to be engaging in conversation, and a quirky sense of humor. I'd love to be able to travel with someone who easily rolls with the punches that normally come along through travel, such as not minding getting a little wet when it rains.
In addition, I'm looking for a partner who's ready and willing to take a specific trip. I'll be traveling to Germany in November for a week around Thanksgiving. For the past several years, I've made an annual personal retreat there, spending time in Cologne, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and other cities, experiencing everything Germany has to offer. The Christmas markets will be getting underway, and the weather tends to be crisp. I'm fond of German culture and wellness, and get the chance to practice my rudimentary grasp of the language. Needless to say, Germany has become one of my favorite places. I've traveled there both as a single traveler, and with others, and always enjoyed myself.
