A little bit about myself:
I am a recent college grad looking to add some new stamps to my fresh passport. I got to go to Jamaica last summer for the Olympics and Independence Day and what a blast! I'm hoping to repeat the experience but with a friend to help enhance the fun.
When in a foreign country/new location I love to go where the locals are, to experience life as the people there live it, in the marketplace, at the beach/park, at a cultural fair or event. I'm not the type to want to spend a trip in Belize at a Club Med and frankly can't stand tour buses or guides, just give me a map and a couple of (insert word for «money» here) and I'll be fine.
If/when possible I'd like to learn a bit of the language spoken in the place I am to visit, or perhaps tailor my visits to countries that speak the languages I speak/am working on: English, Spanish and Japanese.
I am hoping to travel to Asia, South America, Africa and the areas around the Mediterranean Sea. I love warm and tropical climates and have no qualms against re-treating myself to another slice of Hawaii, Jamaica or a first time visit to Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica ect.
Why I want to travel:
I'm looking to expand my horizons and world views with travel. I'm hoping to take this opportunity not only to see someplace different to but get to know someone new, to make friends and memories.
I'm hoping to meet someone interested in fun, adventure and good times out and about to explore the world.
I'm more concerned about making sure we get along than making sure we like the way we look. Profile pages and pictures aside, countless emails and messages or not please be able willing and prepared to be in the San Francisco Bay Area or to make that your first destination before we travel together.
