A little bit about myself:
I'm serious about wanting a long term monogamous relationship (wow, did I just say that?) but I really don't like treating first dates like job interviews. Hmm...can't we have fun?
I think communication before a first date can make or break it. A simple misunderstanding can get blown out of proportion. I do like texting but also respect the need for real voice contact. I like to text when I'm working because its a very convenient way to say 'I'm thinking about you' or 'hope you're having a nice day'. I also don't have so share my conversation with my co-workers or go outside and compete with the trucks driving by.
I like culture and art but I'm not a slave to fashion. I couldn't tell you whether a painting was from Warhol or Dali. I'll tell you if it's too expensive though. If someone buys a carpet for $3,000, I hope they put it on the wall and not the floor. I do like The Getty Museum too.
I've been a bachelor for a little over a year now. I haven't learned how to buy more then a week's worth of groceries yet. I can't cook but I can boil water. My stove is spotless! I do know how to BBQ and grill too.
I really don't mind kids if you have time for us.
What type of guy am I? Definitely not an athlete or a sports guy. I'll watch sports with you but don't ask me who won yesterday. Metrosexual? Hell no. Sensitive and caring? Yes. Yuppy and nerdy. Yes. Intellectual? I think so.

Someone to take on 2-4 day trips in California (i.e. wine tasting in Solvang, Laguna Beach, Pismo Beach, etc.). Possibly a 3-4 day Mexico cruise, Hawaii or Catalina. Ideally, someone to be romantic with..isn't that what we all want? I mean one person only so it is important to me to make sure the person I take with me is serious about us. But...I'm open to friends too if that works.
